It all began with an idea over a glass of wine!

Hi, we are Kate Burton and Kate Taylor.

One is a Horticulturalist the other a Landscape Architect.

We love all things gardening and could quite happily spend all our time in the garden with our hands in the dirt.

But alas we have another calling, and that is to get you gardening too, one Tricky Spot at a time.

So if you are unsure where to begin, or why something just wont grow. If you are looking for an affordable way to design a small or large part of your garden then you have come to the right place.

Our aim is to give you the tools you need to create a thriving garden that benefits yourself, your family, your community and the planet. Through things like habitat creation, improving the soil on your property, increasing water infiltration, sequestering carbon, and composting food waste.

We also want you to experience the joy of planting something and watching it grow. To change something barren into something that is living and vibrant, that invites bees and birds and lizards to frolic and feed and live.
